Very popular level sensors are floats. The big advantage of floats is their simple construction and low susceptibility to vibrations.
Our offer consists of floats from the Italian company Carlo Gavazzi, which are made of plastic or stainless steel. We also offer stainless steel floats from Top East.
The most commonly used are stainless steel floats, which we stock in two versions - straight (with straight float rod) and angled (with float rod bent to the right angle).
The operating principle of the float sensor is very simple. In the fixed part there is a reed relay that closes the magnet placed in the floating float. The reed relay usually only has a make contact. The float is designed so that it can be rotated 180 ° on the guide rod. The float sensor then operates by switching the relay in one float position when the set level is reached and in the other position (the float is rotated 180 °) when the desired level is reached the float switch opens. Thus, by turning the float on the guide rod, the sensor can be configured as normally open or normally closed.
We also supply floats in ATEX version.
